CURRENT ONCOLOGY ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGING AND DEPUTY EDITORS
Current Oncology is pleased to announce that effective June 1, 2019 Dr. Habeeb Majeed will take on the role of Managing Editor and Dr. Sharlene Gill will assume the role of Deputy Editor.
After many years, our previous Managing Editor, Dr. Martin Chasen, has decided to step down and pursue other academic and clinical interests. Dr. Chasen was instrumental in helping shape and build Current Oncology into a national journal of international reputation. He helped steer its success in achieving a significant impact factor and its inclusion in both Pubmed and Medline.
We wish Dr. Chasen much success in his future ventures!
As we move forward, we have built a strong team with both Dr. Majeed and Dr. Gill at the helm.
Our future plans include, amongst others, building new relationships with key oncology organizations across Canada, and highlighting their influential work to our readers both in Canada and internationally. Along with Dr. Majeed and Dr. Gill we aim to achieve these goals and strengthen the influence of Current Oncology to our over 350,000 viewers worldwide.
We have already ensured a smooth transition for all our stakeholders and we look forward to continuing to advance Current Oncology into the foreseeable future.
